Commercial and Trade Development
Bruce Sims brings 32 years of both Big Pharma and Small Pharma experience as a pharmaceutical representative, district manager, sales trainer, national account manager and national account director. Over his career, Mr. Sims has launched over 30 new pharmaceutical products and devices to wholesalers, retailers, pricing agencies and industry. He has commercialized new companies and negotiated contracts.
Mr. Sims has created and instituted new product/device stocking programs to wholesalers and national drug chains resulting in successful introduction of products. Many of his innovative retail based marketing programs have documented ROIs significantly above market average and were accepted as “best practices” in the companies where he has worked.
Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry allows Mr. Sims to aid in the implementation of pharmaceutical commercial operations and trade development. Mr. Sims’ proven, successful product launch skills ensure D2 clients will have the greatest outcome when introducing their product(s) or device(s) to the market.
Prior to his current role with D2, Bruce has held positions at A.H. Robins, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, and Reliant Pharmaceuticals. Awards included DM of the year, President’s Club, Award of Excellence, two-time HDMA Diana recipient and Supplier of the Year.
Mr. Sims holds Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Marketing degrees from California State University, Fresno, CA. Mr. Sims has also completed 36 post graduate units from the Certified Medical Representative Institute in Roanoke, VA, earning Mr. Sims the CMR designation.
