Mr. Goldberg has a 30-year career working in the healthcare and PBM industries. Mr. Goldberg has worked with MCOs, HMOs, PHOs, PPOs, and PBMs. Mr. Goldberg has been on the forefronts working with industry leaders in vertical integration while working across market segments focusing on complex new pricing methodologies. Mr. Goldberg began his career as a clinical social worker and was promoted through the healthcare arena vigorously undertaking new assignments and challenges.
At Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, Mr. Goldberg managed the PHO and the creation of the primary care operation. At Express Scripts, he held numerous positions of increasing responsibility as he assisted the company in growing into the world’s largest Pharmacy Benefit Manager. Mr. Goldberg guided teams of Account Directors as they cross-sold and upsold various pharmacy products and was recruited to implement the Medicare Part D product and to establish the company’s first mail order product. He was also hand-selected to turn around a failing multi-million-dollar worker’s compensation acquisition. Mr. Goldberg held P&L responsibility for a business unit comprising of approximately 150 corporate clients and $38 million in EBIT.
Mr. Goldberg currently assists clients with Market Strategy and Product Development, providing Subject Matter Expertise in the field of Pharmacy, Medical, and Health Benefit Management. His expertise encompasses specialty pharmaceuticals, compounding pharmacies, retail pharmacy, and M&A activity in the PBM industry.
Mr. Goldberg has a BSW from the University of Missouri, an MSW from The Brown School of Social Work and an MBA from Washington University.
