Mr. Simpson has over twenty 20 years of Business Development and Pharmacy Operations experience with specialty, long-term care, and retail pharmacies, as well as pharmaceutical manufacturers. Currently, Mr. Simpson assists specialty pharmacy clients to achieve accreditation, develops and implements sales training programs, and supports pharmaceutical manufacturers and their HUBs with operational program development and implementation.
Prior to joining D2, Mr. Simpson served as a consultant to pharma manufacturers, specialty pharmacies and HUB providers. In that role, he developed and implemented a specialty pharmacy sales rep training program, represented pharmacies to manufacturers, developed a national naloxone distribution program, and worked with manufacturers to enter the naloxone market. Mr. Simpson has also served as Director of Business Development for CoramRx, Pharmacy Manager for Millennium Pharmacy, and Director of Adherence Solutions at Mirixa, in addition to other various positions of increasing responsibilities.
Mr. Simpson’s expertise includes sales training and development, strategic and tactical selling, marketing material development, contract negotiations, and the development and implementation of patient level compliance and persistency programs.
Mr. Simpson attended Ohio Northern University where he attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Business Administration at John Carroll University’s Boler School of Business. He is a registered pharmacist in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
